Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 August 2026

Muslim Journey is published by KCS Digital. This policy explains what the app does

with your information. The short version: it doesn't collect any.

What we collect

Nothing. Muslim Journey has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising,

no tracking of any kind, and no third-party SDKs that gather data. We do not know who

you are, we cannot see what you read, and no information about your use of the app is

sent to us or to anyone else.

Information that stays on your device

The app stores the following only on your phone, in the app's own private storage:

This information never leaves your device unless you export it yourself using

My Study → Export, which writes a file to your Downloads folder that you control.

Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

Location

If you allow it, the app reads your device's location once, to calculate accurate

prayer times and the direction of the qibla for where you are. That location is used

on the device and stored on the device. **It is never transmitted to us or to any

server.** You can decline the permission and enter your city manually instead, and

everything still works.

Internet access

Muslim Journey works fully offline. The internet is used for exactly three optional

things, and only when you ask for them:

1. Recitation audio — streamed or downloaded from the Quran Foundation's

QuranicAudio service (quran.foundation) and the Islamic Network CDN.

2. Word-timing data for the read-along highlighting, from the same source.

3. Opening external links — the source websites listed in About, the developer's

contact address, and the support pages, which open in your own browser.

When audio is streamed, those services receive the ordinary technical information any

web request carries, such as your IP address. We do not receive it and we cannot see it.

Their handling of that request is governed by their own privacy policies.

Notifications and alarms

The app schedules prayer-time alarms on your device using Android's alarm system.

This happens entirely locally — there is no push notification service, no server

telling your phone when to ring, and nothing about your prayer times leaves the device.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no information at all, it

collects no information from children either.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this address and

the date at the top will change.
